Cancellation and Refund Policies

Palace on Wheels | O&M Operator CCEL in Consortium with ETSPL

Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), a Government of Rajasthan undertaking, owns the Luxury Royal Train “The Palace on Wheels”.

The website www.palaceonwheels.rajasthan.gov.in is controlled and operated from India by ETSPL. The content and information displayed on the site are the property of Palace on Wheels and collectively referred to as “POW Information”.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Palace on Wheels Reservation Team and must be acknowledged by the Reservation Team.

Cancellation Charges

  • 20% of ticket value if cancelled 90 days or more before departure.
  • 25% of ticket value if cancelled between 75 to 89 days before departure.
  • 100% of ticket value if cancelled within 74 days before departure.

Note: Applicable for complete or partial cancellations.

No-Shows / En-Route Termination

No refund or adjustment will be applicable in case of No-Show or non-arrival of the guest. Full amount will be forfeited.

In case of en-route termination, unused portion will also be treated as forfeited.

Tour Amendments

  • Subject to approval from authorised Palace on Wheels team.
  • Allowed only in case of natural calamity or serious health issues.
  • No refunds; decisions will be case-to-case.
  • No amendments for full train or group bookings.

General Rules

  • Cancellation rules apply if documents or payments are not submitted on time.
  • Date change allowed with minimum US$ 100 per person.
  • Refunds due to illness or death are at management discretion.
  • No refund for visa refusal or incomplete documents.
  • No refund for no-show or early termination.

Minimum US$ 100 per person will be charged as service fee. Refunds will be processed in INR based on received amount.

Important Advisory

  • Guests are advised to purchase travel insurance.
  • During Dec–Jan fog season, arrive in Delhi one day prior.
  • Liability is limited as per Indian Railways Act.
  • All disputes are subject to Jaipur jurisdiction only.
